Work:                    Looking up a little-- a parent has gone to bat for me and sent letters of support to several important people, including board of   directors.
Today at work:    very, very busy
today after work: very very tired
Weekend:           went to Palm Springs to support the triathlete. This means I read a book and went for a pleasant, though brief, walk in the          desert. Observed two nests and had a very close encounter with a red tailed hawk. We camped, which was nice. I always sleep better in a tent than in a hotel. Drove the prius and put up our little tent. How environmental of us. Saw lots of palm trees, desert flora, and swallows.
Triathlete came in third in his age group
