There is always either too little or too much to post?
To try to make some inroads on that problem, I will bullet point the highlights of the week(s)
To try to make some inroads on that problem, I will bullet point the highlights of the week(s)
- 11/3 - 11/4: Astro Camp. Lots of cool science, lots of kid supervision. All kinds of tired.
- Oh yeah, and Obama . (Yay!!) (Missed all the hoopla while I was away at camp.)
- Sat 11/8 formal wedding reception. Fancy people, fancy clothes; brunch: eggs benedict, fried potatoes, french toast, muffins, sausage, prime rib, fruit tray, coffee wagon, cup cakes (a little disappointing, sad to say) a chocolate fountain
- Thurs: I write a suggestion to admin about how to improve the earthquake drill. Somehow they perceive this as vicious complaining. I get in trouble for making safety suggestions.
- Fri: An agitated woman at school comes to me screaming that my co-worker spread unprofessional lies about her. I respond, "He would never do that." (He didn't) Next thing I know, she's saying I spread those vicious lies. What???
- Eric thinks his last training officer is out to get him fired. One more week to go.
- My doctor calls and says I should come in as soon as possible (next week instead of the week after that.) so she can readjust my meds. This can't be good.
- Sat 11/15 Today: another wedding. Wake at 4 am, drive one hour south to Carlsbad in the dark. Watch dozens and dozens of wet suit clad people paddle out into surf for a SURF WEDDING. Go to brunch later. Menu: Eggs benedict, french toast, muffins, sausage, scrambled eggs and ICE CREAM CAKE.
- Tonight: Eric has another Marine Corps Ball. He doesn't like to drink but says he will to forget all the crap girls dish out. He says, "Drink. Then it's easier to give them another chance."
