It is with sincere sadness that I must report that I learned this morning from his daughter that ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
alexpgp has died. I think we can all agree that he was truly one of LJIdol's stars.
Here are some thoughts I shared with his family:
Dear Galina, It was with great sadness that I read Natalie's post this morning. As you well know, Alex was one of those rare bright stars that only goes by once in a lifetime. It was apparent from his postings that he was understandably proud and intensely fond of his family. My heart is sad knowing he is no longer with us. I am one of many who enjoyed and admired his contributions to the Livejournal Idol community online. I would like to copy here the words I shared just minutes ago on Natalie's page:
The world has lost a warm and wonderful person. He was able to make good friends around the world, courtesy of the Internet. I feel certain he also had good buddies in all his daily routines. His enthusiasm for quirky nooks of experience, be it rocket science, chess, fountain pens, tai chi, mnemonics, or magic tricks kept him entertained, and his wider audience benefited from his musings on those subjects as well. I knew him best through his artful writing, which was of a quality few of us attain. His pithy stories always drew in the reader, with their plot twists, personalities, and snappy endings. The writing was simple and yet spectacularly skillful. I will miss his stories, and really hope to see a collection of them made available. Mostly, I am sad that such a bright star is no longer in our world. My sincere condolences to you, your brother, your mother and the grandchildren. Know that there are many out here in the Internetverse who miss him as well.........love, Julie Ransom Fricke
